Who I work with
Whether your child studies at an international school abroad, sits a standardised exam, or aims for a top university — every lesson targets the exact syllabus, the mark scheme and the grade boundary.
Vladimir Podlevskikh is a physics and mathematics tutor with a degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and 23+ years of teaching. He has prepared 350+ students for IB, AP, SAT, A-Level, IGCSE and ЕГЭ, holds a perfect 200/200 on both US Praxis Physics and Maths exams, and is a member of NCTM and AAPT. Alongside his online practice he teaches school physics (grades 7–9, Russian national curriculum, in Russian) at Nyberg School in Yerevan, Armenia — so the methods are tested both one-to-one and in a live classroom. IB, AP, SAT, A-Level and IGCSE preparation is his one-to-one work, not a school post. He also built the school's own website and student portal, school.podlevskikh.com — a verifiable link between tutor and employer.
What is IB Physics HL? IB Physics Higher Level (HL) is a two-year Diploma Programme course of about 240 teaching hours, assessed on a 1–7 scale across Paper 1 (multiple choice), Paper 2 (data and extended response), Paper 3 (options and experimental work) plus the Internal Assessment. HL covers the same core topics as Standard Level but adds extra depth (AHL material) and more demanding problem solving — which is exactly where structured, exam-targeted preparation moves a grade.

The method
Every student runs on a personal preparation map built from a structured database of exam syllabi — topic hierarchies, the real weight of every question type, official grade boundaries and a prerequisite graph of what builds on what. You always know where you are and what comes next.
A focused first session locates the exact gaps between the current level and the target grade.
A week-by-week roadmap to your exam date — which topics, in what order, and why, weighted by how the exam actually scores them.
Live 1:1 lessons, marked homework and an author's problem bank. Progress tracked topic-by-topic against past papers.
Full exam simulations and final polish. Parents receive a clear monthly report: what's mastered, the forecast, what's next.
Parents see the system too: a live progress tracker and a monthly written report — mastered topics, today's grade forecast and the focus for the next month. No guesswork.
See it on your own exam, free: rate yourself by topic and get a grade forecast plus the topics that lift your score the most — 2 minutes, no sign-up, 77 exams (IB, AP, A-level, IGCSE, SAT, ЕГЭ). Take the 2-minute forecast →
